Edinburgh Car Services is a family-run, independent garage based in Edinburgh, with over 30 years of history and a commitment to providing honest, reliable, and friendly service to our local community.

We took over the business in 2020 with a clear goal: to raise the bar for what customers should expect from a local garage. Today, we run a team of nine mechanics and four front-of-house staff, all working from a large, modern workshop just off the A720 bypass – making us easy to reach from across Edinburgh, Livingston, and Fife.

Accredited, audited, & trusted

We hold AA-Approved and RAC-Approved status, are registered with the IMI, and operate as an authorised Bosch Service centre. ThreeBestRated has recognised us as one of the top three garages in Edinburgh for three consecutive years; something we’re genuinely proud of.

These aren’t just badges. Both the AA and RAC conduct regular audits of our work, and our team receives ongoing training through Bosch networks and AA and RAC programs to stay current with the latest vehicle technology and diagnostic software. • Real experience. One of our MOT testers has over 30 years in the trade. That kind of knowledge doesn’t come from a training manual.
• Bosch diagnostic equipment. We invest in the right tools, including Bosch diagnostic technology and four-wheel alignment equipment, so we can work accurately across most makes and models.

Our workshop

The workshop is large, clean, and well-equipped – we have nine ramps including two dedicated MOT bays, capable of handling vehicles up to Class 7 and vans up to 3.5 tonnes. There’s a comfortable reception area, customer WC, and on-site Wi-Fi, with parking directly outside.

Collection & delivery

If getting to us is tricky, we offer a collection and delivery service across Edinburgh and the surrounding areas for a small fee.
